Today in class we covered sections 7-2 and 7-3. These units covered two different methods of solving systems of linear equations algebraically.
The first method was called Linear Substitution where we solve for a variable in one equation and substitute that back into the second equation and solve.
The next method is called Linear Combination (also called the Elimination Method). In this method we eliminate one of the two variables from both equations by combining the two equations and solving for the remaining variable after.
Notes from these two sections were uploaded to the site last class (check there if you need to revisit)
Homework due Thursday: 7-2 #14, 17-21, 42, 43
7-3 # 25-30, 42-44
